
Fire Explorers - Post 136
Explorers are part of the Daniel Webster Council and is for young men and women ages 14-20 who have an interest in pursuing a career with the Fire Service. Fire Explorers also develop leadership skills, promotes community relations and volunteerism. If you're interested in being a part of the team, please visit the Fire Department, come to an Explorer meeting every second and fourth Thursday of every month and visit here for more information.


The Explorers were fortunate enough to receive a tour of the Globe LLC facility in Pittsfield NH where Firefighter Turnout gear is made.

The Explorers had the opportunity to us the Hydraulic Tools ("Jaws of Life") and practice their precision with the Combi-Tool and Spreaders! In the Photo, They picked up a can that had a raw egg on top of it and had to move it to another cone without breaking it! (Jan, 2016)

The Explores received training on how to stabilize objects in the event on an entrapment. A picnic table was used to simulate a cement block for safety.

Explorer post 716 was founded in September 2001 shortly before 9/11. The post number was changed around 2011 to match the local Boy Scout Troop and Cub Scout pack 136
